Getting a job...
 Vivian's
having a tough time readjusting to her sudden lack of wealth, and scans the
papers in search for a role that suits her particular brand of
sophistication.
Discouraged, she decides to let
her fingers do the walking. Time to call in a few favours from some
friends.
 Calling
lifelong pal "Bunny," Vivian would love to get together now that
she's retired from Countess Wilhelmina cosmetics and Titan. Eyebrow raising,
her friend seems interested. My husband and I have just purchased a
little cosmetics company of our own, she coos. I don't suppose you'd
have time to run your incredibly experienced eye over it would you
Vivian? We need someone with your business savvy.
Pausing for a suitable amount of
time, Vivian agrees to help. Perhaps they could discuss it at the
RoadKill Grill tonight?
As Vivian congratulates herself on
her skills, Bunny turns to her husband. Vivian Alamein with all her
millions will be our saviour in propping up this lousy company you bought, she
quips, as her husband's eyes brighten and he rubs his palms together in
happiness at the thought.
It's Goodbye
 Scami's
stumbled over the annulment papers in a drawer, and Ausdumb's stumbled over
Scami reading them. The truth is out, and yet Scami tries to hold on
despite Ausdumb revealing the truth of their wedding of convenience, Scami's
previously devious and nasty ways, and his love for another woman. Plain
and simple, he just doesn't love her - he never has!
But Ausdumb, sobs Scami.
You've been with me day and night for months now, what if this other woman got
tired of waiting? Will and I, we love you! We're a family!
Ausdumb's torn, but must keep up
the momentum - it's time to tell Carrie!
CARRIE & MIKE IN L.A.
 Carrie
continues to fawn over Dr Mike, as the good doctor embarks upon an ecstasy
seizure. Carrie was tired of hearing how friendly competitor Craig Wesley was
boasting about his cars, houses, career and lifestyle, and wanted Mike to be
the subject of Craig's admiration too.
So, asks Craig curiously, how did
a beautiful woman like you snare old Mikey here? Oh we've known each
other for years and years, Carrie gushes, but we discovered each other just
recently after I broke up with my boyfriend.
 As
Craig leaves the room to get some medical papers, Mike leans over the
desk.
Why did you do that? he asks
amused as Carrie explains her annoyance at Craig's superior attitude.
Hearing Craig return, Carrie
continues to smooching with Mike again, as Mike turns to mush.

 Mmm,
Craig considers looking at his medical papers. Roman's case is very rare
indeed. However, I do see that some real breakthroughs are being made by
one of the specialists here at the conference. I'll find his details and
give him a call.

Carrie. I really appreciate all the help you can give me.
In the
meantime, Mike and Carrie are going to glean some more information from other
specialists. They'll be back soon, but leave Craig in the room to make
his phone calls.
MEANWHILE, BACK IN SALEM
 Things
have taken a bad turn at the DiMansion and Roman is in dire straights.
John's placed a call for paramedics, as he launches into some pretty dodgy
CPR.
Marlena, who blew one tenuous
breath into Roman's mouth decided her skills could be more useful elsewhere
and has abandoned the air breathing to check the saline drip.
LUCAS
 Upon
hearing that Scami found the annulment papers, Lucas is annoyed with Ausdumb
for hurting Scami. What sort of a man are you? Lucas fumes.
Scami's father's dying and you decide to tell her your marriage is over?
Boy you're just like your low-down nasty father Curtis Reed!
Lucas! chides Kate. That's
not fair!
 Hotfooting
it to Scami's apartment, Lucas jumps all over Scami. How could you be so
careless to let Ausdumb discover you knew about the papers? he demands, as
Scami weeps.
I didn't mean too, Scami
blubbers. He walked in just as I was holding them. There was
nothing I could do.
Sighing, Lucas comforts the
distressed Scami. Don't worry, Lucas says patting her back. We'll
think of something - we always do.
EMERGENCY OVER
The paramedics along with John
have averted the crisis, and Roman is now asleep and breathing normally.
As John and Marlena embrace, Roman stirs. What are you two doing? he
asks rather stupidly as it seems rather obvious.
NEWS
 Urged
by Kate, Ausdumb reluctantly picks up the phone and calls LA being put through
to Carrie's room. Craig, still working on his medical papers, looks
around and realises Mike and Carrie are still out. Picking up the phone,
he answers.
Could I speak to Carrie please?
asks Ausdumb fuming.
Oh, Carrie's just stepped out with
Mike, Craig smiles. They can barely keep their hands of each other those
two! Whoever was Carrie's boyfriend before Mike should have had his head
read letting someone like her go. Can I leave a message?
No, mumbles Ausdumb crestfallen as
he hangs up.
 As
Kate hovers concerned, Ausdumb turns away from her. I've lost Carrie, he
mumbles. Lost her to Mike. I was too slow in getting things
moving, and now she's in love with Mike.
