SHOCK /
HORROR!
Marlena is curious to see what Kate is watching miserably out the
window.
Joining her,
she stares at amazement to see Scami and Ausdumb embrace. Maybe
Ausdumb's just comforting Scami, offers Marlena, but Kate turns to her
knowingly. No it's much more than that, she quips, pouring a glass
of water as Marlena looks confused.
THE DEAL
 John
starts to laugh. You've got a cure for Roman Brady? Yeah right!
 Identifying
The Stef's expression as one of truth, John frowns. So what, you're
going to give us this cure out of the goodness of your heart?
No John,
chuckles The Stef finding the suggestion riotous. No no, indeed
there is a deal. There are always negotiations that need to be
struck.
No way! roars
John striding towards the exit. No deals with you DiMera!
So you want
Rrrroman Brrrady to die? asks The Stef knowingly stopping John dead in his
tracks.
RECOVERED
 Carrie
has woken from her shiverfest, looking confused as she sees herself in
Mike's shirt. How did I get undressed? she asks frowning, as Dr Mike
raises his hand. er, well that would have been me that removed your
clothes, he admits. They were drenched from the rain.
Carrie looks
confused. I had a dream about Ausdumb, she reveals pounding a
few more arrows into Dr Dreamy's heart. I was kissing him, but it felt so real,
and more passionate than any kiss I've ever had in my life.
Feeling
guilty, Dr Dreamy swallows, but remains quiet. No need to let Carrie know that it
was him she kissed.
THE
ANNOUNCEMENT
 Oh
good! shrills Scami as she bounces back inside to see Marlena and
Kate. You're both there - Ausdumb and I have wonderful news!
We're getting married! Isn't that wonderful?
Do you think
we could get married tomorrow? Uncle Mickey could fast track the marriage
licence!
Her mouth
flapping, Marlena congratulates her daughter, staring meaningfully at
Ausdumb. Ausdumb, could I see you outside for a moment? Marlena asks.
 Outside,
Marlena quizzes Ausdumb. Why? Carrie loves you!
No Ausdumb
reveals. She did, but she loves Dr Mike now.
Marlena tries
to talk sense into the big lug. Carrie's not with Mike!
She's accompanying on a medical conference I couldn't attend to see if
they can find a cure for Roman! She loves YOU Ausdumb!
Ausdumb's not hearing any of it. I want to be a good father to
MuteWill, he stresses. If Carrie and my relationship didn't exist,
he says rather cleverly (for Ausdumb), wouldn't you want me to marry your
daughter and be a good father to your grandson?
 He's
got her there. Marlena's silent for a nanosecond as she reconsiders. Opening her mouth, she's about to embark upon additional
counselling, but Ausdumb seals his fate. I'm sorry, but my mind is
made up. I'm going to marry Scami. End of story.
LEXIE AND
KRISTEN
 Lexie's
arrived at the Stef Cell to interrogate her father. She wants to
learn more of her family background and what makes The Stef tick, but
Kristen stops her. He has a way of making people do things they
don't want to do! pleads Kristen. Nobody knows that more than me!
Please don't
open the way for a relationship between you. It will ruin your life!
Lexie
scoffs. Don't be ridiculous. I'm nothing like him! I
don't want to have anything to do with him!
 Then
why are you here Lexie? asks Kristen softly, as Lexie gulps, thinks again
and wisely leaves the room.
THE DEAL
 John's listening.
What's the
deal? he demands.
The deal is,
you drop all charges against me, and I get you the cure that can save
Rrrroman Brrrrady's life.
John
laughs. The Stef has got to be kidding! He's in prison for
life!
Shrugging, The
Stef sits down at his chess table, thoughtfully provided for his amusement
by his hosts. Fine, he says. However, how do you think the
Brady family will feel when they realise that it was your need for
vengeance that stopped Rrrrroman Brrrrrrady from having the cure he needs
to live?
MISERY
 As
Kate listens to Scami make wedding plans, her eyes fill with tears.
What have I done? she whispers. I'm so sorry I was so selfish and gave
into Scami's blackmail, she sobs to herself.
THE
CONFESSION
 Carrie's
feeling weak as she leans back and talks with Mike, who goes to the window
and confesses.
Carrie, he
sighs. I have a confession to make. When you thought you were
kissing Ausdumb in your dreams, you were actually kissing me. I was
dreaming about you too, because you see, well Carrie I love you. I
love you Carrie and if that makes you uncomfortable I'm sorry, but I want
you to know that I'll always be your friend no matter what.
GOOD NEWS
 Scami's
called to tell her father the good news. Daddy? she whispers. You
will have your wish. Ausdumb and I are going to get married again
tomorrow afternoon. Do you think you may be well enough to walk us
down the aisle?
I could think
of nothing I'd like more, Roman grins bravely, before coughing up a minute
piece of lung tissue.
