OFF TO JAIL
John's beside
himself with happiness. He's finally hooked his long time nemesis
who he suggests will rot in prison for the rest of his life.
CARRIE
LEAVES A MESSAGE
 Ausdumb's
walking around the rooftop wondering how he lost the woman of his dreams,
as Carrie places a call to Salem, reaching Ausdumb's answering
service. Gee, she frowns to Mike - it's late in Salem, I would have
thought Ausdumb would be there. Could you call me urgently please
Ausdumb? she says leaving a message.
Mike looks at
her miserable face. Why don't we go on a drive? he asks
sympathetically. Take your mind off things.
 Meanwhile,
Ausdumb continues to ponder how it all went so wrong.
CARRIE
CALLS SAMI
Carrie decides
to call Kate, and is surprised to hear Sami pick up the phone. Sami
explains that Ausdumb is painting the apartment and she and MuteWill are
staying with Kate to get away from the fumes.
Carrie
explains she's left a message on Ausdumb's answering service and if Scami
speaks with him first, he's to call her.
 Hanging
up, Sami smirks. Like I'm going to that! she laughs before picking
up the phone, and erasing the message remotely from Ausdumb's answering
service.
You really are
something else, snarls Kate shaking her head. Just wait Scami. One
day I'll have something on you and I'll make sure I pay you back
threefold!
As Scami looks
worried, Kate looks interested. There IS something isn't there Scami?
You do have a secret don't you?
HAPPIER
TIMES
 Ausdumb
is thinking back to happier times with Carrie. What happened?
DECISIONS
Ausdumb
decides to call the hotel in LA again, but Carrie's stepped out with
Mike. Are you a friend of Carrie Brady? asks the big mouthed
receptionist. Yes, why do you ask? asks Ausdumb wishing instantly he'd
kept his mouth shut. Well we were just wondering if they're on their
honeymoon, because if they are, we'd like to do something special on
behalf of the hotel. Perhaps a special dinner, that type of thing.
At the risk of
asking yet another stupid question, and already instinctively knowing the
answer, Ausdumb clears his throat. Why do you think Carrie and Mike
are on their honeymoon? he ventures. Oh because they look so much in
love, gushes the big mouthed receptionist, who hopefully got the sack soon
afterwards for her indiscretion.
STEFANO
Just before we take Stefano to jail, we need to make one vital stop
off. Stefano needs to be paraded before his long time sworn enemy,
Roman Brady, hopefully as a broken and chastened man.
 Chris,
sorry Roman, despite five minutes before having trouble coordinating
inhaling with exhaling, manages a miraculous recovery, and sneers at
Stefano. You bastard! Roman spits. We finally caught you!
(Personally we believe being sick in bed, precludes Roman from using the
"we" word in the process, but he's obviously
deluded).
 John
looks on proudly as Roman speaks from his death bed. How did we
catch him John? asks Roman realising a small part of the puzzle is
missing. Kristen led us right to him, grins John as Roman looks
confused. Kristen? why what how where? he stumbles.
As everyone
holds their breath, Stefano speaks. It was I who brought you back to
your family in Salem, he tones before everyone gets nervous and leads him
away in shackles.
A VISIT
FROM DADDY
As Ausdumb agonises over what kind of man he's become to push his wife and
son from his apartment, and string another woman along for months on the
side, Daddy Curtis arrives in his dreams. You're just a chip off the
old block! Curtis grins spiritedly. You've made everyone miserable
just like I did! Leaving your kid! Why you've made it buddy!
HOLLYWOOD
HILLS
 Mike's
driven Carrie out to the Hollywood Hills to forget about Ausdumb, Scami,
and Roman's sickness and just relax.
 As
a familiar song starts to play on the radio, Mike asks Carrie to dance,
sighing and looking wishful as he smells her hair, and she thinks of
Ausdumb.
HAPPY
Laura's come to visit Marlena and is delighted to hear that Stefano is
upstairs and shackled. Just think, you and your father will soon
both be behind bars, she exults. Might as well come clean
Kristen. Tell us where Peter is, so that Jack and Jennifer can get
on with their lives.
SUPPORT
 Finishing
dancing, Mike feels close to Carrie, but she's moaning about Ausdumb.
Don't you worry, he soothes. You and Ausdumb will be together
soon. I know it.
SECRET
SPILLED?
Lucas has gone
upstairs to get MuteWill who is crying, unsure of his new surroundings.
Scami who's gone to get a cup of tea, listens at the door as Kate talks to Lucas. I've never noticed before,
Kate smiles. But MuteWill seems to have your eyes Lucas. Yeah! smiles
Lucas. He has hasn't he?
Smash! They
turn startled as the tea cup and saucer crash to ground, with Scami standing
alongside looking guilty. Could Scami's secret be discovered?
